My Message to Customers
I am incredibly proud to be appointed CEO of UniCredit and take it as a personal duty to truly fulfil the partnership role you expect from your bank.
I started in this industry at the age of 25 and I have seen many aspects of the sector, both directly and through the eyes of many leaders.
I took this role because I believe that banks have a central role to play in any functioning society. I believe that we collectively and individually have a calling to do more than simply provide you with superior financial products or “enhance your experience”. We exist to enable you to achieve, prosper, and lead the lives that you want to lead. And I intend to put all my energy into ensuring that this is the reality that you experience.
I want us to do and be more for you as our clients. I want us to reinforce our partnership, based on the foundations of trust, transparency, and mutual respect. We should be your first call as your financial partner.
From my commitment to reducing complexity, to enhancing our technology and digitalisation to empowering those on our front line to better meet your needs – all are designed to ensure that you are positioned firmly at the centre of everything we do.
I would ask that you bear with us as we make these changes. Not all will be simple, and some will require time, but be assured, I intend to do everything within my power to bring about transformation as needed, and as quickly as possible.
A key part of delivering on all these commitments will be to better understand what we do well, but more importantly where we can do even better making sure we deliver what you expect from us. We cannot address what we don’t know, so please engage with us, your feedback is critical.
